| Bristol Wins Partners In Philanthropy Award
Bristol Brewing Company was recently recognized at the 10th annual Partners in Philanthropy luncheon, an event that honors local organizations and individuals for their "extraordinary philanthropic contributions." Partners in Philanthropy is made up of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Pikes Peak Community Foundation, Pikes Peak United Way, and Pikes Peak Funders Forum.
Nominated by the Bee Vradenburg Foundation, Bristol won the award for Outstanding Corporate Philanthropic Program (fewer than 250 employees). This category recognizes "a corporation that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support, encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles in philanthropy."
Specifically cited in the nomination were Bristol's Community Ales program and support of a wide variety of non-profit organizations, including KRCC, COPPeR, Theatreworks and TOPS.
Past award-winners in this category include G.E. Johnson Construction, U.S. Bank, and Memorial Hospital.
